Agriculture

Serbia is rich on agriculture (61% of land) and forest (27,3% of land). Agricultural
land is concentrated in the region of Vojvodina (1,64m ha arable land), where
most of Serbian water reserves are located.
By end of 2010, Serbia produced:

----- 1,6 m tons of wheat (in average 1/3 of the crop exceeds domestic
------requirements and 85% of the crop is classified as the first class)
----- 7.2 m tone of maize, whereof in average 1/4 up to 1/3 exceeds
----- domestic requirements
----- 378.000 tones of sunflower
----- 541.000 tones of soya bean
----- 3.3 m tones of sugar beet

Serbia abounds in high-quality oak and beech forests and represents an ample raw base for both, primary wood and furniture production.

Mining and

Serbia possesses modest mineral reserves, but has deposits of coal, ferrous and non-ferrous metals in abundance.
